Fight Gum Disease and Halitosis with the Oravital® System

Do you suffer from gum disease and/or bad breath? These oral health conditions aren't uncommon - and fortunately, there's a way to safely and effectively treat them using the Oravital® System.

What Do I Need to Do?

First, you'll schedule a visit to an Oravital® Certified clinic for an oral examination. After answering some questions about your medical history, the dentist or dental hygienist will be able to determine whether you're more susceptible to these conditions. Next, he or she will take samples of bacteria from your teeth, tongue and throat using a gentle swab. The samples will be sent off to a laboratory, where a microbial analysis will be able to identify any harmful bacteria that may be causing your gum disease and/or bad breath.

If the report reveals that there are harmful microorganisms doing damage in your mouth, you'll be recommended an Oravital® antiseptic or antibiotic rinse - specially formulated to attack these germs and return your mouth to a healthy state. After using this rinse for about two weeks, the bacteria in your mouth should balance out - improving your oral health dramatically.

Proper Maintenance

After your initial treatment with the Oravital® System, the dentist or hygienist will check your mouth to ensure that it is free of harmful bacteria and disease. In order to keep your oral health in tip top shape, it is recommended that you continue to practice a proper oral care routine at home while seeing your dentist for regular check-up/cleaning appointments. You can also choose to use the Oravital® maintenance rinse in conjunction with your personal care routine to enhance its effectiveness.

By taking the right preventive steps, you'll be able to keep gum disease and bad breath at bay for life!
